Jumping Rope

With the advent of Annabelle's new rope jumping skills has come a slough of songs and rhymes to jump to. (She can jump forty jumps in a row now and is practicing how to jump backwards!) Some rhymes she makes up, others she learns in kindergarten, and still others she learns from children in aftercare.

Handy spandy sugardy candy, french almond rock
Bread and butter for your supper's all your mother's got!

Today she was eager to get home to say her latest rhyme:

Mommy's in the tree, eat-ing porridge!
Here comes a baby in a baby carriage!
That's not all! That's not all!
Baby's drinking alcohol!

I rested my forehead in my hand and begged God not to let her say that in kindergarten tomorrow.
