Time together

Lately I have benefited from taking a serious look at my priorities and bringing a thoughtfulness to how I spend my time. Annabelle notices. So does Dave.

I have, in my own way, been working to figure out how to "live in the moment" - a catch phrase that means a lot of different things to a lot of people. For me, part of it was figuring out how to be okay with anything that happens in that moment, and knowing that it isn't about being spontaneous, or thinking positively, or even about being happy. It isn't about trying to be any one way or conforming to any single preconceived idea. It is simply about being.

And "just being" took me a little practice. But the payoff has been bigger than I expected.

It is amazing what happens when you hold a consciousness about something every day for an extended period of time. I would do anything for that smile.
